The perfect setting

One of the unique elements of Stones Throw is the property itself.  The 100 feet of shoreline is comprised of granite boulders and lava formations from billions of years ago. On the East side of the property is a staircase that takes you to a private beach.  The walkable beach is shared by only 3 homes and is approximately 150 yards long.  From the peninsula you'll be able to see downtown Grand Marais in the distance (about a mile away).  Enjoy a lakeside fire at the end of the day...of course, the firewood is included.

It's all in the details

At Stones Throw the details matter. We want you to enjoy your stay and we've tried to anticipate your needs.  There are 4 adult bikes in the garage, a telescope to get a closer look at the wildlife and ships, a movie library, and games for those rainy days.  Oh, and we include a complimentary s'mores kit for those evening fires.

Stones Throw is located about a mile East of downtown Grand Marais on a private road with just three other homes. We're about a half mile from the Gunflint trail and hundreds of miles of world-class trails.
